Vtg Handmade Emperor and Empress Standing Dolls With 100% Silk Kimonos Multicolor Hand Painted With Head Dress
These dolls are from our huge collection of vintage dolls from around the world. They were purchased in Japan while on vacation in 1967.
They are just beautiful and in great condition, however the gold paint has slowly chipped away on the Emperor's head dress. The gold head dress is approx. 1 1/2" tall x 1 1/4" wide. It is tied down with stunning purple cord that is finished with 2 tassels. Finished with a bow under his chin.
The Empress is just gorgeous. She is wearing a gold tone metal, handmade head dress of an intricate bird with wings and a crown with orange beading and gold tone dangling charms. Her head dress is tied down with orange cord in a bow under her chin.
Their faces are hard body and hand painted.
The kimono costumes are exquisitely made out of amazing silk fabric. Fabulous construction.
This pair is simply lovely, and will stand out in any room.
